    (1) James Babcock b ~1612 (Blacksmith/gunsmith) d. 12 Jun 1679
        He appears in Portsmouth, RI in 1642, is Commisioner 1656-1659.
        He moves to Westerly, RI ~1664. In 1670 he gave testimony. In
        the testimony he gave his age as 56 years, and those of his sons
        James and John as 29 and 26, respectively.
