Edward Griswold and his wife Margaret

Mr. Edward Griswold, the son of George Griswold (name uncertain), was born in about 1607 in England. He immigrated in 1639 to Whethersfield, Connecticut. He died at the age of about 84 in about 1691 in Killingworth, Connecticut.

Edward Griswold (aged about 23) married a woman named Margaret in 1630 in England.

Margaret died on Tuesday, 23 August 1670 o.s. in Killingworth, Connecticut. She was buried in Congregational Cemetery, Clinton, Connecticut.

Their children were:

• Lt. Francis Griswold, born in 1635 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, died in October 1671. He married Mary Tracy (name uncertain).

• Sara Griswold, born in 1631 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

• George Griswold, born in 1633 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire, died on Sunday, 3 September 1704 o.s.. He married Mary Holcomb on Tuesday, 3 October 1665 o.s..

• Liddia Griswold, born in 1637 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.

• Sarah Griswold, born in 1638 in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. She married Samuel Phelps on Sunday, 10 November 1650 o.s..

• Ann Griswold, born in Windsor, Connecticut, baptized on Sunday, 19 June 1642 o.s. in Connecticut.

• Mary Griswold, born in Windsor, Connecticut, baptized on Sunday, 13 October 1644 o.s. in Connecticut. She married Timothy Phelps on Tuesday, 19 March 1661 o.s..

• Deborah Griswold, born on Sunday, 28 June 1646 o.s. in Windsor, Connecticut, baptized on Sunday, 28 June 1646 o.s. in Windsor, Connecticut. She married Samuel Euell in 1662.
