Extreme Planets from StarGen
This page lists the most extreme habitable planets from a large test run of StarGen that created more than a half million systems, 10,000 of each of the 51 stars from the SolStation list of stars. The command used to create these systems was:% stargen -w -g -s1 -n10000 -i1 -v3 -2 -H -p Doubles/ Terrestrial p=1012.86 m=1.00 g=1.00 t=-0.0 -s1 -W0 The Solar System 3 Terrestrial p=1113.68 m=0.95 g=0.98 t=+0.7 -s5 -W5 Tau Ceti 4 Terrestrial p=650.92 m=0.79 g=0.92 t=-5.5 -s12 -W12 82 Eridani 5 Terrestrial p=2930.87 m=1.61 g=1.18 t=+3.3 -s24 -W24 Xi Ursae Majoris Ba 6 Terrestrial p=2752.58 m=1.63 g=1.19 t=+4.3 -s26 -W26 Zeta Tucanae 5 Terrestrial p=718.18 m=0.75 g=0.90 t=-6.8 -s41 -W41 Zeta 1 Reticuli 4 Terrestrial p=422.93 m=0.60 g=0.84 t=-8.4 -s54 -W3 Epsilon Eridani 3 [Lines deleted.] System 508446 - Chi1 Orionis A (-s508446 -W27) has 2 planets with breathable atmospheres. My original test run included one system with three planets with breathable atmospheres, but in the latest run one of those planets became too cold to support liquid water. I made two more runs starting with -s2 and -s3. In the third run, a system with 3 planets with breathable atmospheres showed up. Where the first system had one terrestrial and two martians, this one had three terrestrials. I've included it here, even though it took a million more systems to get it than the other systems on this page.
